Divi 4 or Divi 5?

Divi 5 only. The abilities work on the block-module model in post_content, not the legacy v4 shortcodes.

Does it fake layouts with HTML?

No. The integration refuses code-only pages and builds real Divi modules so the page stays editable in the Visual Builder.

Can it edit the site header?

Yes, through Theme Builder. Your AI reads the template, resolves the header layout id, and edits it with the standard module abilities.
