Novamira adds OAuth sign-in for your AI client

July 14, 2026

Novamira: now with OAuth. Just sign in, no password.

Novamira 1.9.1 adds OAuth sign-in for AI clients. You can now connect Claude and other MCP clients by authorizing them from your own WordPress login, instead of generating and pasting an application password.

How it works

When your client connects, a WordPress authorization screen opens in your browser. You approve the access from your own login, and the client is connected. There is no password to copy, and you can revoke any connected client at any time from the new Connected apps page in your dashboard.

Some clients make it even quicker: on Claude.ai and Cursor a one-click button adds the connector for you. Either way, you still sign in and approve the access from your WordPress login, so nothing connects without your say-so.

Still a direct connection

The OAuth flow runs between your AI client and your site. Nothing changes about the model that has always been true: your plugin is self-hosted and the connection is direct. Your AI, your WordPress. Nothing in between.

Part of the core

OAuth sign-in is a Novamira feature, about how you connect. It is not a Pro add-on. Novamira Pro benefits from it too, since Pro runs on top of the free plugin.

OAuth requires your site to be served over HTTPS (a local development environment is the one exception). Application passwords are still fully supported, for clients that do not use OAuth.

See Connecting your AI client for the per-client steps.
