In this video I put the free Novamira WordPress plugin to the test, connecting a blank test website to OpenAI’s Codex desktop app to see if AI can build a real, editable Divi 5 website from scratch.

Starting with nothing but a fresh WordPress install, Divi, a forms plugin and Yoast SEO, I walk through the entire process: installing and activating Novamira, turning on the Abilities setting, generating the application password, and feeding the connection prompt into Codex via MCP.

The first build attempt dumped everything into a single Divi text module, not workable. So I show you exactly how I prompted it to rebuild the page using proper, segregated Divi modules (hero, blurbs, testimonials, CTA, code modules for the form), then iterated through the real-world teething issues: missing icons, broken images, ugly buttons, spacing problems, and getting it to build a proper global header and footer via the Divi Theme Builder.

It’s an honest, warts-and-all look at what AI site-building actually looks like in practice, the impressive wins and the bits where you still have to spoon-feed it. If you’re curious about MCP, AI-assisted WordPress builds, or whether tools like Novamira are ready for client work, this one’s for you.
