Novamira HQ asks for the HTTPS address of your cPanel panel (for example https://server.example.com:2083), your cPanel username and an API token. Create the token in cPanel under Security → Manage API Tokens.

Your credentials are stored only on your computer. Novamira HQ talks to the cPanel API directly from your machine; nothing passes through a server of ours.

What Novamira HQ can do on cPanel

• Discover the WordPress sites at the root of each domain in the account
• Create and list whole-account backups (they count against the account’s disk quota)
• Set up Novamira on a site, through WP Toolkit when the account has it, otherwise, after your approval, through a temporary installer that removes itself after one run

The cPanel user API does not allow restoring backups, so restores stay in the cPanel dashboard.
